Q: Can I nominate a man that is not my biological father?

A: Yes. Any man that exhibits exemplary behavior in parenting or community activities can be nominated at any time.

Q: Does Fathers Rock honor and recognize deceased fathers?

A: Yes. Although a father may have passed away, this in no way negates the legacy that he has left behind.

Q: What are some of the criteria necessary to nominate a father or father figure?

A: Some of the criteria that Fathers Rock looks for is a man that is supportive, a teacher, a man that supplies wise counsel, guidance, and protection in abundance. This man must not only be a role model at home, but in his community endeavors as well.

Q: After nominating a father, what is the award process and how long does this take?

A: There is a 14-day processing period, during that time the nomination committee will make a decision.

Q: What type of recognition or appreciation would my father or otherwise nominee receive?

A: He would receive a Certificate of Appreciation, recognizing his contributions as a father, along with a photo and a small biography of himself will be put on the Fathers Rock website.

Q: Are there any other programs that Fathers Rock currently offers?

A: R.A.W.MEN TALK (Real Active Warriors), Father and Father Figure Monthly Recognition Program, Home For The Holidays, Teen Father College Scholarship Fund.

Q: Are there any current volunteer opportunities with Fathers Rock?
